Arrive at the hotel down the private wooded driveway and it’s very easy to see why it evokes such an accolade as you almost enter another world, hidden away from the 21st century. Built in the late Victorian era originally as a grand country retreat, this magnificent stone house is a short drive inland from the breathtaking east coast of the island and is considered to be one of the finest Country House Hotels in Wales.
The hotel has been luxuriously refurbished and extended and Wedding guests have the choice from de luxe, superior, Four Poster bedrooms and 2 Four Poster Suites both with whirlpool Spa Baths. One of these beautiful Suites is offered complimentary to the Bride and Groom as a Honeymoon Suite with the proviso that a minimum number of 35 guests attend the Wedding Breakfast.
There are a number of rooms from which to choose for Wedding Receptions and Civil Ceremonies. The Capel and Britannia Rooms are ideal for the small and intimate Wedding or Reception whilst the Conservatory and Anglesey Suite can seat for dining between 120 and 140 respectively. The beautiful gardens are the perfect backdrop for those memorable wedding day images, from rolling lawns framed by the grand Country House to secretive gardens.
